Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Deskbell website, account service, and macOS or Windows applications. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Deskbell, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The service

Deskbell is an AI assistant for asking questions, using supported model services, and optionally using web-enabled tools. Some features use the built-in Chime model; you may also connect a compatible third-party model service with your own credentials.

Chime uses small models that we select from commercially available and open-source offerings. It is primarily intended to handle lightweight tasks at a low price. We may adjust or replace the underlying model from time to time when we consider it appropriate.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires a higher age, that age applies. You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping your credentials secure, and activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

The Trial plan includes 10 model calls per monthly billing period. Deskbell Plus costs $2.99 USD and includes 400 model calls per period; Deskbell Pro costs $5.99 USD and includes 1000. A question may use multiple model calls when Agent tools are enabled; each model call uses one unit of the allowance. Unused model calls do not roll over. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless checkout states otherwise.

Creem plans renew monthly until canceled. Waffo Pancake plans are 30-day one-time purchases. An active Plus period may be upgraded to Pro for a fixed $3.00 without changing its end date or resetting usage. Active Pro periods cannot be downgraded; after cancellation or expiry you may purchase Plus. You authorize the applicable payment provider to process your selected payment method and any applicable taxes and billing documentation.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Subscription section of your Deskbell account. Cancellation stops future renewals, and paid access continues through the end of the current billing period. The current billing period is non-refundable, including unused time or model calls, except where a refund is required by applicable law or a billing error occurred. Acceptable use

You may not use Deskbell to break the law, violate another person’s rights, exploit or endanger minors, create or distribute malware, spam or fraud, evade safeguards or usage limits, gain unauthorized access, interfere with the service, or generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, or seriously harmful content. You may not resell the service or use automated means to overload it without written permission.

Your content

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant Deskbell the limited permission needed to transmit and process that content to provide the features you request. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to your content and for how you use generated output.

AI output and third-party services

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Verify important information and do not rely on Deskbell as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Model providers, payment services, websites, and integrations are third-party services governed by their own terms. Deskbell is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI or other model providers.

Ownership

Deskbell and its software, branding, design, and service content are owned by Deskbell or its licensors and protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.

Availability and changes

We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features and may limit access when needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or prevention of abuse. We will provide notice of material changes when reasonably practicable. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Deskbell or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay applicable fees, or if required by law. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Deskbell is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Deskbell will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the service changes. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
